Brought up on the Island of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides, Lesley is a well known local,
who taught highland dancing in the community and sang in Gaelic throughout the islands.
Her love of the Outer Hebrides culture continues with her latest venture 'Buchanan-Cushions'.
Using only Harris Tweed fabric, which is made solely in the Outer Hebrides,
Lesley is proud to continue the hebridean way of life.
Harris Tweed is one of the most desirable wool textiles in the world. Harris Tweed is produced
in the Outer Hebrides on the west coast of Scotland.
All Harris Tweed is hand woven on a treadle loom by the weaver at their own home,
and then finished at a local factory.
Known throughout the world, Harris Tweed is seeing a huge comeback into the world of fashion
and soft furnishings.
Buchanan Cushions takes this traditional fabric and creates a range of products that you will
enjoy for many years to come. From the ancestral Scottish clan tartans to the warm earthly
